Walk-in clinic for STD testing, treatment offered in February

Servicesnews.jpg

During the month of February, the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department will be trialing a walk-in clinic for individuals seeking testing and treatment for sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) or an exam for a vaginal infection. Our confidential STD services include:

  • Hepatitis C testing for at-risk individuals also being tested for HIV.
  • STD testing and treatment.
  • Hepatitis A and B vaccinations for eligible clients.
  • Rapid HIV testing as part of STD exam.

STD services typically take about 45 minutes, so clients will be seen up to an hour before the Health Department clinic closes.

For more information, call the Health Department's clinic at 785-843-0721.
