Baker University is located in Baldwin City and is home to almost 3,000 graduate and undergraduate students. Students can receive care at Family Medicine of Baldwin City, which is a public practice and affiliate of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Service fees are the student’s responsibility. Insurance is accepted and financial assistance may be available through LMH. Services include X-ray and laboratory.

Baker also has a counseling center where students may receive psychiatric counseling for no cost.

Clinic services at the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department for BU students include: tobacco use prevention and cessation, immunizations, condoms, pregnancy tests, HIV tests, birth control methods, TB skin test and medication, and STD testing. STD services include: confidential Hepatitis C testing for at-risk individuals also being tested for HIV, confidential STD testing and treatment, counseling, education, Hepatitis A and B vaccinations for eligible clients and free HIV testing as part of STD exam or on a walk-in basis.
