Current COVID-19 Vaccination Status: Phase 2 Limited Appointments Available
Phase 2 of the state’s vaccination plan includes residents 65 and older.
Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health added additional appointments for a total capacity of 960 appointments for the first public vaccination drive-through clinic Jan. 29 at the Community Indoor Arena, 1930 Harper St. This is for Douglas County residents 65+.
The alerts were published via the Douglas County Notification System, and the additional appointments were full 13 minutes after the alert was published.
For those who aren’t able to schedule an appointment as part of the first Phase 2 open clinic on Jan. 29, sign up for alerts via dgcoks.org/emalerts for notification if additional appointments are added or for announcements about future public clinics.
For the new appointments available now, Douglas County residents 65 and older can schedule an appointment online at LDCHealth.org/COVIDVaccine. One appointment per person 65+ is needed, and upon booking a time, you will receive detailed instructions on what to bring.
Due to limited doses right now, we expect these appointments to go quickly.
If we receive more vaccine doses before Jan. 29, we will add appointment times and announce when they are available
