Healthy Families Douglas County

Being a parent is both joyful and rewarding, but it can also be challenging at times Healthy Families Douglas County (HFDC) is here to support parents get their children to a healthy start. Participation in HFDC is completely free, voluntary, and flexible to fit your family's needs.

Family Support Programs

Personal Visits Include:

  • Perinatal and parenting support
  • Use of Growing Great Kids® Curriculum
  • Monthly family time events
  • Development screenings for babies using ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2

Eligibility

  • Douglas County residents who are pregnant or have a child under 3 months of age. Residents can opt to remain in program until child turns 3 years old.
  • No income guidelines.

No. These services are free of charge.

Can I get help applying for pregnancy insurance?

Yes. We can help you apply for KanCare pregnancy coverage or inform you about other prenatal care options if you do not qualify for KanCare insurance.
